Gravel Worlds 2025 to Welcome Riders and Runners from Around the Globe to Southeast Nebraska for 16th Year

LINCOLN, NE – Now in its 16th year, Lauf Gravel Worlds 2025 returns to Southeast Nebraska from August 20–24, drawing thousands of cyclists and runners from six continents, over 18 countries, and nearly every U.S. state. The event features multiple gravel cycling and running races, bringing global attention to Lincoln and its surrounding gravel roads.

Participants will take on the rolling, scenic backroads of Lancaster, Otoe, Cass, and Seward Counties across distances including the 150-mile Gravel Worlds Championship, 300-mile Long Voyage, 75-mile Privateer, 50k to 5k run options.

Community Impact

Gravel Worlds is more than a race—it’s a celebration of inclusion, wellness, and giving back. The 2025 event is projected to bring in over $2 million in economic impact to the local economy, filling hotels, restaurants, and shops across the region.

Through the Gravel Worlds Foundation, the event is committed to donating $100,000 in 2025 to support bike- and fitness-related nonprofits and advocacy organizations. 

Public Schedule of Events (Open to All)

All activities are free and open to the public at the Sandhills Global Event Center in Lincoln. Come cheer, meet athletes from around the world, and soak in the Gravel Family atmosphere:

  • Wednesday, August 20: Welcom Party at Bierhaus Maisschäler downtown Lincoln

  • Thursday, August 21: One of the largest Bike/Running expos in North America with over 75 vendors. Check In. Group rides and runs.

  • Friday, August 22: Group rides, Expo, GW 300 mile bike race start, All running events (must sign up to participate). Free Live music 5:30-8:30

  • Saturday, August 23: Main race day – 150-mile, 75-mile, 35-mile, 10-mile bike ride. Live music from Noon-10pm

  • Sunday, August 24: Gravel Worlds Triathlon/USA Triathlon National Championships at Branched Oak Lake State Park.

Traffic and Safety Reminder

Local drivers are asked to use caution and patience on gravel roads the weekend of August 22–24. Riders and runners will be active throughout Lancaster, Otoe, Cass, and Seward Counties. Please drive slowly, respect signage, and help ensure a safe experience for all.
